centers. funding to stabilize the health care market as well as solving this issue for daca kids. so those are the priorities of the democrat caucus. they continue to be. so would your party be willing to shut down the government over this issue as it is a priority? i can t speak for the democrat caucus. what i ll tell you. speak for yourself as a democrat. exactly. what i m saying is i m not comfortable voting for a continuing resolution nunless w address these issues. that s what i ve committed to do. we have a solution, let s do this, we have eight days, let s start. let s get this done. hand brooke, another complication in this as well, is that having a continuing resolution month by month is having a drastic impact on the state of our military. the fact that our armed forces aren t able to plan accordingly. they don t know how much money they are going to get except in every single month. that s having an impact on
readiness. and that is a factor that is going into the conversations about a january 19th. oh, by the way, we have sequestration that would potentially quick in ha fa few after that. so this is a much more complicated issue than one particular topic. but let s do our job and solve this problem. and we have a solution that solves what the president has said, what everybody has said, border security, and daca fix. look, brooke, i would say quickly that republicans haven t even signalled that they are comfortable funding the c.r. 90 republicans opposed the qrc. in september as well. so they have an obligation as well. you keep repeating what the president said sign it and take it to me i ll take the heat. let s see if he follows through. congressman aguilar and hurd, thank you so much for your time on this important issue. moments from now the white house will be dealing weekly press
is only bill in town. no other bill. but now another republican senator says no, at least not yet. let s get to the halls of congress and phil. what s going on? clear as mud which is how we operate a lot of days. here s kind of the behind the scenes what s going on. this gang of six, three republicans and three democrats working for months to try to figure out some solution to the daca issue. they have been working on a bill or proposal that has the broad parameters that the president says he needs. four pilars he talks about. and i m told they have reached general agreement on where they are. what they haven t been able to do yet is brief the members of their respective conferences or caucuses about what s inside that bill. they haven t been able to sell the white house on what s inside the bill. what that all means, brooke, is that this group, which is somewhat idealogically aligned,
taken on the merits, is much more fertile ground for opponents of the president to talk about than where i get more uncomfortable, which is as the other panelists have said, i m not a psychiatrist, sort of the implication that there is something wrong with the president s health that s driving this. it does make me uncomfortable. i know next week i believe president trump is going to be going and getting a physical to have his health checked out. america will get an assessment presumably hopefully an honest assessment of the president s health. but that s the sort of thing i prefer to leave to the professionals. and instead if we think the president has tweeted something wrong or decision bad criticize those things when they happen. hand brooke can i offer a little explanation based on what i hear from people who know trump and work for him. is he they view his approach to information as part of a broader approach to decisions as being instinctual. he likes to, according to these peo
