Hancock County Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered stolen items from seven different burglaries in Hancock County after executing a search warrant in Colusa July 31.
Stronghurst, Ill- The Hancock County States Attorney has announced her resignation. Hancock County States Attorney Rachel B. Mast said in a statement Monday that she has resigned from her position as Hancock County States Attorney, effective November 14th, 2022. Mast stated that her resignation was due to her accepting an appointment as the Henderson County State's Attorney. TV Station WGEM reports that the Republican Central Committee will interview candidates to fill the position in the next few weeks, and make a final recommendation for the County Board to vote on.
