引き網漁は、海鳥などの混獲が懸念される「流し網漁」がロシアのEEZで2016年に禁止されたことを受けた代替漁法。漁船後部を改造し、袋状の網を引いて漁獲する。
6年目となる今年の試験操業は6月10日に始まり、26日間で計125回投網。魚価の高いベニザケは約3トン（前年比1・5倍）、シロザケは約7・5トン（約2倍）の漁獲があったが、漁獲量全体の88％（約77・7トン）を占めたカラフトマスが漁獲枠上限に近づき、漁期を10日ほど残して操業を打ち切った。
