Former President John Dramani Mahama has bemoaned the current state of Ghana’s economy and democracy, saying 42 years of the June 4th uprising, the country’s economy and democrarcy are in dire straits.
“Economic hardship, insecurity, political and ethnic polarization, deepening inequality, politicization of our democratic institutions, corruption, serious problems in the education and health sectors are challenges Ghanaians are confronted within our daily lives”.
This, he said has led to a crisis of confidence in political leadership.
He said this in a post via his social media pages in commemoration of the June 4th Revolution on Friday.
