Bernardo Doria, 38, was on his way to meet with his group at around 7 a.m. when he was suddenly hit by a pick-up truck that was overtaking an SUV on Hanakahi Street last April 30, according to a report from Hawaii News Now.
Doria was immediately brought to Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition. He sustained head and neck injuries, liver laceration, and broken bones from the incident.
Authorities said the driver fled the scene without giving aid to the victim.
Doria’s wife, Jennifer, is pleading with the suspect to come forward.
