The Chinese national apprehended while trying to cross the India-Bangladesh border illegally told the investigators that he and his associates have smuggled as many as 1,300 Indian SIM cards into their country by hiding them in undergarments, the Border Security Force (BSF) said on Friday.
The Chinese national, Han Junwe, was nabbed by a BSF patrol party from the Malda district of West Bengal on Thursday.
After a preliminary interrogation, the BSF handed over the Chinese intruder to the local police station on Friday.
According to the BSF, the Chinese national used forged Indian documents to carry 1,300 Indian SIM cards to China. His associates smuggled the SIM card into China, concealing it in their undergarments.

Kolkata: A day after a Chinese national was arrested by the Border Security Force (BSF) while he was trying to switch borders, after interrogation it was found that Han Junwe is also a wanted criminal and is a spy from China.
According to South Bengal BSF, a four-member team of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh Police and National Investigation Agency is coming to interrogate the Chinese national.
âHan Junwe is a wanted criminal and after thorough interrogation, it was understood that in the last two years almost 1300 Indian SIM cards using fake documents were sent to China. Through his associate, he used to hide SIM cards in undergarments and send them to China,â said the BSF sources.
