Terrible people are in control on both sides and I fear they have and will continue to make the worst decisions possible. What can I do? What can any of us do? I wish for a world where leaders and humanity always "side(s) with the child over the gun every single time, no matter whose gun and no matter whose child" (Naomi Klein writing about this current horror). Rather than run down every fresh bit of wax in the marketplace, we’ll home in on special editions, reissues and unusual titles that come across our desk with an interest in discussing both the music and how it is pressed and presented. This month, that includes a boxed set of releases from a classic label, new thrash and dub, plenty of jazz and a little bit of folk music from northern Africa.
