Cameras and suspicious activity since monday. An Eastern Iowa Elementary School principal is facing owi charges tonight. Amber dietz, the principal at kingsley Elementary School in waterloo was arrested friday on the corner of hillcrest and ridgeway in black hawk county. According to a criminal complaint, the 40 year old dietz had a blood alcohol level of. 159, nearly twice the legal limit. The arresting officer reported dietz smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking. A spokesperson for the Waterloo School system tells us dietz is not on the job, and a member of the School Leadership team is running kingsley elementary on a day to day basis.
