Most of the candidates in Itasca s village board race say they oppose a plan to construct data center buildings on a golf course property.
Seven candidates are vying for three trustee seats in Tuesday s election. They are incumbents Jeffrey Aiani and Frank Madaras and challengers Joshua Beauchamp, Patrick Powers, Dustin Sneath, Eric Swets and Jennifer Troutman.

Beverly Pfeiffer
QUINNESEC Beverly Pfeiffer, 77 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2020, surrounded by her husband of 57 years and family at her home in Quinnesec.
Bev was born Dec. 7, 1943, in Flint, Mich., to the late Martha and Earle Chiles Sr. She was the youngest of two children (one preceded her in death) and has two younger half-brothers. Bev spent her childhood between their Flint home and her grandmother’s farm in Engadine, which offered enjoyable hard work, slow pace, and wide-open spaces.
Bev married Francis (Butch) Pfeiffer in 1963 and together had four children. The family moved to the Loretto/Hamilton Lakes area in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in 1972 where they remained through 1992 with the final move to Quinnesec, where she resided. Early on, Bev was an active member of St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan, and then with American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford, for the last 28 years.
