After aerial mulching for two years in wildfire burn scars, restoration groups are now focused on keeping the rivers clean by focusing on streams, tributaries.
The focus of the aerial mulching is on protecting the water quality of the rivers and tributaries that flow through the area burned by the Cameron Peak Fire.
Aerial mulching efforts will keep ash and debris out of the Poudre and Big Thompson rivers. Helicopters will drop wood chips on areas burned by the Cameron Peak Fire.
