Set in the charming little town of Pine Hill, Kentucky,
Wrapped Up in Christmas Joy introduces readers to quilt shop owner Sophie Davis and former Marine Cole Aaron, whose paths cross during Pine Hill’s Christmas festivities.
The story begins when Sophie finds Cole’s journal among a box of books that had been donated to her church. She finds herself drawn to the stranger on the pages as she reads the personal entries. As the daughter of a veteran and a seamstress who sews Quilts of Valor, she feels a deep connection to the former soldier who wrote the emotional entries, and she longs to heal his heart.
Janice Lynn wraps Ed Reader, Coffeeâs Countyâs oldest living veteran, in a Quilt of Valor at the Veterans Building in Manchester during a surprise 97th birthday celebration on Oct. 16. Reader, who served in the Army Air Corps, was a door gunner on a B-17 during World War II. His plane was shot down over Romania, where he was captured by the Germans and held as a prisoner of war for nearly six months. SUBMITTED
