iraq where the death toll continues to rise after an early morning explosion. it happened right outside a police station. at least 45 people have been killed. another 140 wounded. iraqi officials say a homicide bomber detonated his explosives laden vest in a crowd of police recruits who were waiting to apply for jobs. doctors in tucson, arizona say congresswoman gabrielle giffords could leave her hospital bed within the next few days as she continues her remarkable recovery from a gunshot wound to the head. giffords family reportedly searching for a rehab center in the area. because rehabilitation is going to involve physical rehabilitation, speech, psychological and, of course, emotional, i think it s very important to have the family and loved ones nearby and that scenario, we re involving them to make the decision of where she goes. she graduates to that level where we can do no more for her here. she s very close. in a new interview set to air later today, giffords husband
has not made the decision yet whether or not he ll have one. do they ask him in the interview whether or not he s on the list? obviously, let s say he decides tomorrow he wants a heart transplant. you have to be on the list a little bit before that. he also said he believes that president obama will be a one term president. and he also says he volunteered to step aside under president bush three times as the v.p. at one point not too long ago, vice president former vice president cheney says he didn t feel that obama s administration was keeping america as safe and now he s kind of softening that. he says, i think he s found it necessary to be more sympathetic to the kinds of things we did and it worries that barack obama does not have the absolute commitment to prevent terror tacks that he and george bush did simply because he has not gone through a day like 9/11. i think he s learned from what we did is far more appropriate than he gave us
everybody to san diego and in the timothy mcveigh case where it was a federal building and federal employees that were murdered, federal building destroyed in oklahoma city, everything was moved to denver. ok. in this case right now, the temporary judge is from san diego because all of the judges in arizona recuesed themselves because everybody knew the guy that was murdered. and all the federal judges worked for the guy that was murdered. would it be possible, then, for the government to go ahead and say, ok, we ll you know, the loughner and his defense say, ok, we think we can get a fair trial in arizona. could they bring in a judge from another state to preside? yes, yes. this decision will be up to the judge in san diego. not up to the government and not to the defense. is this going to be the trial judge? yes. the trial judge will decide whether he goes to san diego or whether he goes to tucson and brings everybody to san diego. if the case was moved to california,
