WARRINGTON’S director for public health has issued a warning to residents not to drop their guard as we head out of lockdown. Thara Raj is urging people to follow the rules in place as the number of new coronavirus cases has increased in some parts of the borough over the last week. Although the latest seven-day case total for Warrington up to March 11 was 151, fewer than previous weeks, there are some areas where the number of cases is starting to increase. Covid-19 infection rates are also higher in Warrington than other neighbouring authority areas, which is a concern if this pattern continues.
