At least eight houses on the Hallgarth Estate were targeted by a group of youths in the run up to Christmas, Cumbria Police have confirmed. The police say there were reports of a group of children aged between 11-13 years old throwing beer bottles, mud bombs and eggs at property windows. These reports of antisocial behaviour and criminal damage were believed to have taken place between 19th – 23rd December. Police have also received additional reports of a group of youths, of the same age, attempting to steal Christmas decorations from people’s gardens on the same estate. Local Police Community Support Officer Hayley Newman said: “These mindless acts have been committed against at least eight houses.
