After years of displacement following a devastating flood in June 2016, students at Herbert Hoover High School in Elkview, West Virginia are ending their academic year in a brand-new $100 million campus. This state-of-the-art facility boasts separate wings for academics, arts, and athletics, along with top-notch amenities such as multimedia classrooms, professional-grade sports facilities, and a fully-equipped auditorium. Principal Michael Kelley proudly showcases the students contributions to the campus, emphasizing their resilience despite the challenges they faced. Despite the physical loss of their original school, the Hoover community remained strong, rallying together to overcome obstacles and achieve academic and extracurricular success. The new campus symbolizes not just a building, but the unity of the Hoover community, which emerged stronger than ever.
