Blackstone lobs bigger takeover bid for Crown; $12-plus a share Save Share US private equity firm Blackstone has offered more than $12 a share for Australian casinos group Crown Resorts. Six weeks after Blackstone put Crown in play with an $11.85 a share indicative offer, it is understood Blackstone returned with a revised proposal in an effort to kick-start takeover talks. The new proposal was sent to Crown Resorts’ board over the weekend.  Bloomberg The new proposal, sent to Crown’s board over the weekend, saw Blackstone drop a handful of conditions and commit to be ready to acquire Crown in the third quarter of this year.
