Animal lovers in Northern Colorado are reacting strongly after several dead animals were removed from a property in Weld County this weekend. There are still many other animals living at the residence, creating a lot of concern for their well-being.
Local animal sanctuaries are ready to help house the remaining creatures, but only if law enforcement removes the remaining animals. There is a petition going around to gain signatures to encourage action.
In all, nine deceased animals were seized from the property that s facing abuse accusations.

In a case that has drawn attention from animal rights groups and Gov. Jared Polis’ husband, first gentlemen Marlon Reis, several dead animals were removed from a Weld County property after the owner was accused of neglecting and abusing her livestock in recent weeks, the Weld County Sheriff’s Office said.
State veterinarians removed nine animal carcasses and collected multiple excrement samples from live animals Saturday morning at the property in the 5400 block of F Street. The owner, 40-year-old Halina Morley, consented to the operations.
Morley has at least 24 animals on the property, including goats, pigs, ducks, dogs, chicken and sheep, officials said.
