One thing I miss about college was being invited to join dormmates for a Passover Seder. Growing up in Nashville, I went to plenty of bar and bat mitzvahs (and bought a lot of
Dungeons & Dragons paraphernalia to take as gifts), but I was never lucky enough to attend a Seder. The first time I experienced the flavors of the traditional meal and listened to the stories that accompanied each course, I was really moved by the connection between food and history. The four glasses of wine didnât hurt either.
But not everybody has the wherewithal or time to shop for or prepare all the traditional Passover fare, and thatâs where Adeleâs and The 404 Kitchen have graciously stepped in. While their menus donât necessarily follow the full roster of dishes that accompany the stories of Passover, theyâre at least a great start.
