Leasowes Walled Garden VOLUNTEERS at an historic Halesowen garden are trying to raise £20k to restore the site and are appealing for people to get behind the bid. The 18th century Leasowes Walled Garden was saved by Halesowen Abbey Trust when it bought the site which was up for sale to developers in 2014. The trust, which is a registered charity, is working hard to restore the gardens, on Leasowes Lane and plans are in the pipeline to create a beautiful garden with vegetable patches, an orchard, wildlife meadow and a pond. Plans include the planting of indigenous hedgerows and trees.
