The events of the past two months have caused me to become more introspective about time and how I use it.

If you’re anything like me, then you may have the occasional, or daily, habit of putting off what you should be accomplishing today. I don’t know what it is that causes me to fall into a pattern of “I’ll do it tomorrow” or “I’ll get to it when I get to it.”

He was a big man with an even bigger drive to change the perception of fatherhood.
Halbert Sullivan, founder of the Fathers’ and Families Support Center, a nonprofit that sets out to improve a parent’s outlook and skills in the St. Louis region, died Thursday, April 15. And with his passing, a legacy is officially cemented.
You may recall that the overall appeal of fathers was negative over the last couple of decades. You may have heard things like dads are only responsible for a paycheck, or dads do very little compared to all the various things mom does. And let’s not leave out terms like, “baby daddy,” or “deadbeat dad,” and phrases like, “Daddy’s just there.”

Relative of brothers killed in WWII kicks off fundraising drive
The USS The Sullivans is taking on water and listing at its dock in Buffalo, N.Y. Emergency repairs to the 78-year-old destroyer named for the five Sullivans brothers from Waterloo who died in World War II when their ship, the USS Juneau, sank in the South Pacific are underway.
