Two new beach wheelchairs have been donated by the Waihī Beach community after seeing the tremendous support a borrowed one made over summer.
One wheelchair was donated by a beach resident and the other by Waihī Beach LJ Hooker Real Estate.
So if the unthinkable happens and level 3 continues, what sporting events may need a rethink?

Event organisers have already canned Wednesday s schedule, which would have been races five and six in the best of 13 Prada Cup final.
While the delay is probably good news for the struggling INEOS Team UK, it s not good news for the event, with fans now unlikely to attend.
Even if Auckland is out of level 3 by Thursday, that could be followed by a period at level 2, which would mean no gatherings of more than 100 people.
The Prada Cup finals are scheduled to conclude on February 22, with the America s Cup set to run from March 6-15, but a two-week lockdown will severely impact that schedule.
Now the
Stuff team will vote to determine a winner in each category by ranking the finalists from No 1 to No 4. Once the five category winners have been found, we will also hold a vote to determine a supreme winner, and all six awards will be handed out at the same time. At its annual gala function in Auckland next Thursday, it will instead hand out Decade Champion awards for the 2010s, with the voting academy choosing from the various winners over the past 10 years.
Team of the year – Crusaders and Canterbury women Nobody likes joint winners. It’s usually an easy way out, one used to prevent dissent. But these two Christchurch-based teams can only share this award, having both won their fourth straight title in 2020.

Canterbury were elated after winning their fourth straight Farah Palmer Cup title in front of their fans at Rugby Park in Christchurch. The Crusaders’ Super Rugby Aotearoa triumph was their fourth in as many years under Scott Robertson, and their record-extending 11th overall.

New Zealander Scott Dixon has now won the IndyCar championship six times and has AJ Foyt’s record firmly in his sights.
