First lady Aisha Buhari has called on parents to take responsibility for their children and protect them from abuse and other social vices.
Mrs Buhari stated this on Thursday in her Sallah message to Nigerians.
“On the occasion of Eid el Fitr, which celebrates the end of this year’s Ramadan fast, I congratulate all Muslims and pray Allah to accept our supplications,” she said in the message posted to Instagram.
“I convey my message of goodwill to Nigerians and use this opportunity to strongly appeal to parents to take responsibility for their children by guiding and protecting them against abuse and other social vices.

For the first time in months, the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), stepped out together with his wife, Mrs Aisha Buhari, on Thursday, to celebrate this year’s Eid-el Fitr and completion of one-month Ramadan fast.
In a series of photos shared via Buhari’s social media handles, the President and the First Lady were seen flanked by their children and their spouses. In separate photos, the President was also seen with lads young enough to be his grandchildren.
