Prince Harry and Meghan Markle s Archewell Foundation is being awarded for its help to Afghan refugees.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex may not receive the award in person but they are being thanked.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to receive a prestigious humanitarian award next week for their charitable work helping Afghan refugees through the Archewell Foundation.
Charity Commission figures show that the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge received at total of £19.95 million in donations and legacies, in 2021.
The Sussexes will be recognized for "their advocacy on behalf of and generous financial support for at-risk Afghans as well as military veterans who served in Afghanistan." Archwell Foundation Executive Director James Holt will accept the award on their behalf.
The couple, who will not receive the award in person, are also being thanked for their generous donation, an undisclosed amount, to the Human First Coalition at an event next week.
