Under the plan, asylum officers will be granted the full authority to rule on asylum cases, allowing asylum-seekers to bypass federal immigration courts. The plan further noted that a court docket dedicated to asylum claims would be put up, and 100 judges would be hired to make sure that they are considered timely.
