FREEPORT The Golden K Kiwanis recently awarded four $750 scholarships to 2021 high school graduates.
Scholarships were awarded to students who plan to attend an accredited college, university, community college or technical/trade school. Students who were awarded scholarships include Abby Cline, Teegan Leverton, Hailey Pick and Ella Williams.
Highland Community College athletes honored for academic excellence
FREEPORT Seventeen Highland Community College student-athletes are honored as National Junior College Athletic Association All-Academic Team recipients.
Student-athletes must have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours with a minimum 3.6 GPA. Four Highland teams were named NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year.
