Sean Loloee, the Sacramento city councilmember accused of not living in the district he represents, said in a video statement Friday that he not only lives in his Hagginwood home, but is also allowing a family friend to live there as a guest.
Earlier this week, Mayor Darrell Steinberg sent a letter to Council member Sean Loloee giving him two options: Agree to an independent investigation or have the City Council vote for the investigation.
The letters follow reports that Council member Sean Loloee has lived in a million-dollar home in Granite Bay since he was sworn into office, instead of in District 2, a largely impoverished area he was elected to represent in 2020.
Sacramento is officially launching its participatory budgeting program, which will let residents decide over the next few months how the city will spend $1 million in sales tax revenue.
