The Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber has scheduled "Beyond the Ballot Luncheon: Civic Engagement, Integrity, and Outcomes" to encourage civic participation in the November elections.
Phil McGrane, Idaho’s Secretary of State, will be the keynote speaker at the event slated 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Hagadone Event Center.
“By that time, Julius had a number of schools involved, and luckily, a lot of those fell through, and we were still able to get in the (recruiting) game,” Pribble said. A campus visit followed, and … the Vandals announced his signing in early May.
If Dr. Robert Dietz was on the Federal Reserve Board, he would put a pause on interest rate hikes.
“I think they’ve done enough,” he said. “There’s no need to turn a mild recession into a moderate recession.”
Dietz, chief economist for the National Association of Home Builders, compared the Fed’s series of rate hikes over the past year to pushing the remote control button too many times.
