Two labourers were mowed down by an express train in Guwahati's Bonda Jaan locality near Narengi railway station. One victim had headphones on when the train hit him. The incident occurred at around 8 am. Government Railway Police of New Guwahati railway station reached the spot and launched an investigation. The two bodies have been taken to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
Denying the allegations of theft against him, Ansari’s family said he had no criminal past and was instead associated with the National Human Rights and Crime Control Bureau, a New Delhi-based non-profit human rights group.
