Baba made the development known on Friday while announcing postings, appointments and reappointments of top police commanders.
It is the second time Mba, a deputy commissioner of police, will be picked to serve as the image-maker of the police force.
Baba also approved the posting of Hafiz Inuwa, an assistant inspector-general of police, as the force’s secretary and member of the force management team, while Idowu Owohunwa was appointed as principal staff officer (PSO) to the IGP.

Inuwa takes over from Mustapha Dandaura who has now been redeployed to Zone 7 police headquarters in Abuja.
Baba also ordered the posting of Idris Abdullahi Abubakar, a chief superintendent of police, as the PSO II to the IGP, and Isah Abdulhamid, a superintendent of police, as personal assistant to the IGP.

The acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, has appointed an Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Hafiz Inuwa, as the Force Secretary and member of the Force Management Team.
He also reappointed a Commissioner of Police (CP), Frank Mba, and Acting CP Idowu Owohunwa as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) and Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to the IGP respectively.
Mba, who served as spokesman for the police twice before his latest reappointment, disclosed the developments in a statement on Friday.

The Inspector General of Police, Ag. IGP Usman Alkali Baba, NPM, psc (+), fdc, today, 9th April, 2021 approved the posting of AIG Hafiz Inuwa, mni as the Force Secretary and member of the Force Management Team. The IGP also approved the re-appointment of CP Frank Mba and Ag. CP Idowu Owohunwa as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) and Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to the IGP respectively.

ABUJA – The Inspector-General of Police(I-DP) Mohammed Adamu, on Thursday, prayed the Federal High Court, Abuja, to allow the police to investigate a former Minister of State for Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, over alleged staff abuse.
Gbagi was alleged to have ordered four of his staff to be stripped naked and photographed over a theft case at his hotel, Signatious Hotel in Effurun, Delta.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Gbagi, on Sept. 30, 2020, filed a fundamental rights application before Justice Taiwo Taiwo, seeking an order to restrain the I-G and others from arresting or detaining him over the matter.
