The outcome of the race for an open Wisconsin state Senate seat that’s been under Republican control for decades is too early to call, with only a few hundred votes separating the candidates in a contest that could put the GOP a step closer to being able to override Gov. Tony Evers’ vetoes or even impeach him.
GOP state Rep. Dan Knodl declared victory late tonight in the 8th SD over environmental attorney Jodi Habush Sinykin. But a Senate Dems spokesperson said there’d be no concession tonight with a handful of wards still out.
