Muscat: The number of people in need has increased due to the pandemic, and charities are expanding efforts to meet their needs.
Habib Al Subhi, from the Ministry of Social Development said in an interview with Oman tv; “Today there are emergency circumstances due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and some families are in need of assistance. Today this segment has begun to expand more and more, and there is a solidarity between all efforts, including the efforts of the private sector.
Dr.Shamsa Al Harithi, General Director of the Dar Al Attaa Association said: “The number of the beneficiaries of the association’s support for those affected by the Corona pandemic exceeds 24,000 people, and this number is expected to increase during the coming period, which requires the opening of other initiatives that include residents as well, but the number of citizens in the current period is much more.
