GALESBURG A Galesburg couple has stepped away from the business where they spent just over a half a century serving frozen treats and more to their customers.
Fran and Linda Klavohn, who came to town to lease their first Dairy Queen in 1968 and eventually would own both Galesburg locations, sold the pair of stores on May 17 to Jaypriya LLC of Holland, Michigan. It s just time to have some fun, said Fran, who noted he and Linda plan to spend more time traveling in their motor home. We ve thought about getting out for quite a while, actually. But then every time we would think about it, something would happen, and we said, oh, I don t think we ll do that now.
