In honor of Independence Day, H-E-B Grocery Company will send over 500 care packages to Texans serving the United States away from home. The company announced Thursday that individuals can nominate an active-duty Texan to receive an Operation Appreciation backpack care package, which will include a taste of home, according to a news release. A personalized note can also be included in the package, the release stated. “We are thankful for the commitment of the brave men and women who defend our nation’s freedom and are honored to share a bit of home with our service members,” said Johnny Mojica, H-E-B Public Affairs.
