Several myths and fake news around COVID 19 vaccine have been circulating on the Internet. Many reports claimed that the Coronavirus vaccine has a negative effect on the child-bearing capacity of women. However, quashing rumours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare took to its verified Twitter account and shared information regarding the same. Sharing an infographic, the ministry debunked the myth. Dr. Arun Sharma busts the myth and fake rumour. He clarifies that #COVIDVaccine has no negative effect on child-bearing capacity of women, the tweet read.
This is not the first time that such rumours found space on the Internet. Earlier several social media posts claimed that menstruating women should avoid taking vaccination during and five days before and after their menses.
