Miracle as dog who was with man when he became lost in bushland for 18 days is found alive and well

A dog who was separated from her owner when his car got bogged in bushland has miraculously been found alive after almost a month. Robert Weber was last seen leaving the Kilkivan Hotel Motel in southeast Queensland with his Bull Arab Nessie on January 6. The 58-year-old was found sitting under a tree, dehydrated and disoriented, 18 days later - but there was no sign of Nessie. 25 days in the wild: Dog found after owner s miracle

In a twist that you couldn t script , the beloved dog of Robert Weber, a man who was missing in bushland for 18 days, has been found alive. Local MP for Gympie Tony Perrett said Nessie the Bull Arab wandered into a house on his property on Sunday afternoon. While it s dropped some weight, it had no injuries, it was still lively and still strong, Mr Perrett said. I called Robert yesterday to let him know and he was just elated that we d found the dog. Just a good outcome, it was just lucky that it did wander into the home on the property and somebody was there.

He and his companion had become separated and the dog was thought lost, at least until late Sunday night.

After losing his way home from the Kilkivan Hotel on January 6, Mr Weber s car became bogged in a very remote part of Mr and Mrs Perrett s Kilkivan property. Our musterers were out mustering a paddock at the back end of the property, which is about 15 000 acres, and they found the vehicle wedged in some rocks, Mr Perrett said. Mr Perrett immediately alerted police to the vehicle, who alongside SES personnel and the Lifeflight Helicopter, launched a widespread search of the land.
