A woman was sentenced to nine months jail by the Gympie Magistrates Court on Thursday for 29 offences, most of them drug related.
Zoe Renea Zelow, 39, appeared in custody via video link and was granted immediate parole.
She pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle without a licence, two counts of stealing after a previous conviction, 11 counts of possessing a dangerous drug, four counts of possessing a utensil that had been used, four counts of failing to dispose of a needle and syringe, possessing property suspected of having been acquired for the purpose of committing a drug offence, failing to appear, three counts of breaching a bail condition, driving with a drug present in saliva, an offence involving

Subscriber only A 51-year-old s criminal and traffic history was described as appalling and extensive when he faced court in Gympie on 14 charges this week. The list of offences ranged from drug driving to stealing from St Vinnies between June 22 and December 12 last year. Dean Anthony Lovett pleaded guilty to all 14 charges in Gympie Magistrates Court on Thursday where he appeared in custody via video link. The court heard Lovett had been in custody since December 23, when he racked up six charges on one day. Police prosecutor Michael Phillips said almost every possible sentence had been given to Lovett in the past, but he continued to breach orders and reoffend.

A GYMPIE diesel fitter who works in the mines pleaded guilty to possessing drug utensils despite saying the gear belonged to a mate.
Hayden Clifford Wadley, 38, was found with a water pipe and bowl and container containing cannabis at his North Deep Creek home on New Yearâs Day this year.
He told Gympie Magistrateâs Court on Monday the items were not his because he gets tested every time he returns to the mines and had been âgiven the all clear.â
He said it was a friendâs belongings that was left at his house but he took responsibility for it.

Subscriber only A MAN caught carrying a used needle on the street and the remnants of methamphetamine blamed family drama for returning to the heavy drug habit. Gabe Ian Tickner said he had been sober for almost two years when circumstances in his family surrounding a fatal car crash just got to him . Police caught Tickner walking on Hilton Rd at midnight on December 13, last year, carrying a shopping bag with a used syringe and needle in it and two clipseal bags with meth remnants totalling 0.1g.
