Thinkhouse Clubbing Documentary to Feature at V&A Dundee Exhibition May 7, 2021 ‘Clubbing is Culture,’ a mini-documentary that was created by Thinkouse in collaboration with No More Hotels (featuring projection visuals from Algorithm), has been selected to feature in ‘Night Fever: Designing Club Culture,’ a new exhibition at the prestigious V&A Dundee, Scotland’s iconic international design museum. The documentary features the voices of five prominent cultural commentators discussing the importance of Irish club culture, and as part of this exhibition a special Director’s Cut will debut as part of ‘Tay Late: And the Beat Goes On’, a night of talks, film, experimental performances, DJ sets and dancing, celebrating the resilience and cultural value of night clubs and clubbing. The event takes place this Friday, 7th May 2021.

WATCH: New Doc Highlights Importance of Dublin s Nightlife By Mike Gilmore A new mini-documentary is highlighting the importance of Dublin s clubbing culture.  Clubbing is Culture provides an insight into the existential threats facing Dublin s nightlife, with one contributor stressing that hotelification is diminishing what our city has to offer.  The documentary features contributors from varying backgrounds, all with a vested interest in saving Dublin s nightlife.  ThisIsPopBaby s Philly McMahon, Founder of Gxrl Code, Mona Lxsa, writer, Una Mulally, and designer, John Mangru all weigh-in on what clubbing means to them.  The documentary also features Dublin Lord Mayor, Hazel Chu, who is a member of the Night-time Economy task force, which is charged with finding the means to revitalise our after-dark culture.
