LANSDALEÂ â School extended care programs have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic and could soon become more costly for district parents.
North Penn s school board could vote tonight, Thursday, April 15, to raise rates for district extended care programs, as part of an effort to plug a more than $1 million budget gap caused by the coronavirus. Last February, we had a $956,000 fund balance, and this February we are at a loss of $720,000, said district Extended School Care Coordinator Marjorie Scott.
