will hurd, jeff flake? what do you think? it s hard to see how someone doesn t resign over this. the two main people would be dan coats, of course, the intelligence chief, and the u.s. ambassador to russia, jon huntsman and told reporters 11 days ago the president would confront vladimir putin over election meddling. we saw dan coats come out with a statement saying he stands by his findings, his exhaustive findings that russia did meddle in the election, something a source told cnn they did not clear with the white house before publishing that statement and unclear if it leads to resignation potentially. that s up for debate and we have seen several republicans in congress come out with the statements, some calling the president out by name including from paul ryan saying that, no, russia did meddle in the election, actually. i think we ll continue to see that pile up as the president is on his way back to washington but the question is, does it go past just a strongly worded statem
told no and it is hard to tell him at the age of 70 no. look, i think he basically does what he wants to do, doesn t fully appreciate or care about the consequences. i suspect in this case he was bragging to the russians and trying maybe thinking if i tell you guys something, a little secret, you ll like me or you ll tell me something, a little secret without being cognizant of the repercussions. the sad part is that the adults that might reign him in because trump is so persuasive and power and set in his ways end up looking so bad and tarnished and it would be a shame if mike pence, rod rosenstein and now people like h.r. mcmaster, who had sterling reputations are tarnished by this presidency. look, if you listen to the critics, admiral, this is different than just saying i have the best words or the best buildings. he s sharing with people that
