While the vet clinic has done a number of dog and stud cattle transfusions, it s rare for a goat to need the procedure.

Ainslie Lund was the veterinarian on call the night the distressed owners of an ailing pygmy goat named Sage arrived.
Sage s owners had noticed she was off her food and lethargic, which was out of character, so they rushed her to the Guyra District vet clinic, on the NSW Northern Tablelands. Immediately, I noticed that Sage had really pale gums, Dr Lund said.
