Airlines informed passengers that flight schedules at the Delhi Airport might be impacted due to adverse weather conditions caused by dense fog which covered the national capital on Sunday.
Delhi's air quality index on 2023's last day was recorded in the 'severe' category. Forecasts indicated that the toxic circumstances would probably last for at least three more days.
The AQI for R. K. Puram was recorded at 360 in the 'very poor' range. Further, as per the CPCB, the AQI was recorded in the 'very poor' range at 358 in the Anand Vihar area at 7 am.
The air quality in various parts of Delhi showed a slight improvement on Tuesday morning after the rains on Monday evening and favourable wind speed due to the western disturbance impacting northwest India.
