KUALA LUMPUR: The Energy and Natural Resources Ministry will lead an investigation into the recent Baling floods and the findings will be made public, says its minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.
ALOR SETAR: The Kedah government, together with relevant departments and agencies, will plan further action following the findings of the Environment and Water Ministry, which confirmed that the flood occurred in Baling on July 4 because the reservoir of the Musang King durian planting project at the top of Gunung Inas had burst.
ALOR SETAR: The Kedah government will only release an official statement once relevant government agencies complete their findings over the cause of the recent Baling flood, even as some people are keen to blame it on a durian plantation. “I hope the public will stop speculating about the incident, and allow the authorities to conduct their own assessments.
