Outlawguns N Roses blazed a trail to victory as she wired eight foes in the $56,900 final of the Alberta Sires Stakes Alberta Diamond Series for three-year-old pacing fillies.
Pacing filly Over Ice maintained the impressive start to her career, winning for the sixth time in seven starts to kick off Alberta Sires Stakes action on Saturday, May 19 at Century Downs.
Two weeks ago, on Oct. 14 at Century Mile, Byby Baby Byby and Outlawguns N Roses put on such a monumental performance in the Alberta Sires Stakes Starburst leg that it prompted Byby Baby Byby’s trainer Rod Hennessy to call it “one of the best miles paced in Western Canada by anyone.”
The Saturday (August 5) card of harness racing at Century Downs featured eliminations for four lucrative stakes finals, with Virtual Horizon continuing his dominance over his division to run his win streak to double digits.
