bigger than this. this issue arrives at a court that has been battered by scandals and controversial decisions, like overturning roe v. wade. this is likely going to be the biggest test for chief justice john roberts, the biggest test of his career. he s going to be under enormous pressure to try to build consensus behind the scenes after oral arguments to craft a decision that does not appear partisan. because again there have been a lot of questions about partisanship in and around the court. this is an enormous challenge for him, not only to decipher the constitutional questions that are in front of them but also to broadcast to the country and to the world that this is an organization that makes decisions based on the facts in the law. joan, what is the timing of how all this will play out? you know, it s going to be very swift. the date for everyone to keep in mind is february 8th. that s when the court will hold oral arguments, and everyone will get to hear what the nine just
