even hitting a target near gadhafi s compound today. david lee miller is streaming live from tripoli. reporter: great deal of gunfire in the capital of tripoli two hours ago. great deal of small arms fire as well as anti-aircraft fire. you can look at the tape we recorded from downtown central tripoli. you can see the tracer fire in the sky. you can also hear the ak-47 s going off, 100 yards from our position. exactly what was taking place even at this hour remains somewhat unclear. sounded like there were gun fights in the streets. now there are reports that some of this fire may have been in celebration. apparently there was a rumor circulating around tripoli that one of the leaders of the rebel opposition has been assassinated. it now appears that rumor is not true. when people here believed it was, one woman let out a cry
