Boko Haram: 4 soldiers reportedly killed as insurgents attack Kamuya in Borno

Daily Post Nigeria Published Barely 24 hours after Boko Haram militants attacked a military base in Kamuya, a town on the borders of Borno and Yobe States in Northeast Nigeria, reportedly killing four soldiers with many declared missing in action, the military authority has kept mum after several attempts to get details of the incident from them. DAILY POST has been following the reports both from the locals and other sources within the Nigerian military who had claimed that the attack on the Special Forces base – the 27 task force brigade was a big blow. For now, the Nigerian military has restricted movement along Damaturu-Damboa-Biu Road following attacks by members of ISWAP/Boko Haram. It was gathered that the terrorists struck when some special forces of the 27 Task Force Brigade, deployed at Buni Gari had gone out on clearing patrol in the axis.

Leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has vowed never to back down on the struggle for Biafra freedom. Kanu said he had sacrificed his parents for the Biafran agitation and was ready to do more for the struggle. Kanu stated this on Saturday evening through an inscription on an image he tweeted on his official Twitter handle which also indicated the date and time for his usual live radio program on Biafra radio. “The inscription reads: I sacrificed my mother and father to get Biafra. I will sacrifice everything”. Meanwhile, in a separate tweet, Kanu while reacting to a publication by an online news platform that reported “seven military officers arrested for supporting bandits”, said he earlier predicted it.

No one should be hostile to security personnel - Ortom warns Benue People

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has warned people of the state against being hostile to security agents. The Governor also warned against actions that could lead to the death of security operatives sent to the state to restore peace. Governor Ortom gave the warning on Saturday in Daudu during a funeral oration in honour of the late John Azulo who died of suspected COVID-19 complications and was buried a few months ago. In the words of the Governor, “No one should be tempted to be hostile to any security personnel let alone molestation. I won’t talk of attacking or killing security men,” Ortom stated.
