A MAINTENANCE team from Karachi Electric (KE) visited our neighbourhood in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Block 9 on June 28 for replacing a naked cable with bundle cable. While they were leaving the site in the evening, I noticed that the service cable of our house, along with its conduit pipe, had broken down and had fallen on a tree. I requested the team to repair it before leaving, but they left, saying that they had noted the complaint and it would be rectified tomorrow.
The next day I waited till midday, but no one came for the repairs. Subsequently, I lodged a complaint (No. 6014852700) on 118, and received a message from KE within an hour, asking if the complaint had been resolved. Of course, I replied in the negative. The exercise was repeated after an hour.
