It is 8 00am in singapore, midnight in london, and 7 00pm in new york, where police say a man detonated a bomb close to the citys main bus terminal during the morning rush hour. Four people, including the bomber, were injured in the small explosion in central manhattan. A 27 year old man originally from bangladesh has been arrested. 0ur correspondent nick bryant reports from new york. 7 20am in the morning, the height of the rush hour, and Security Camera footage of an underpass at new yorks busiest bus terminal. This low tech bomb was detonated deliberately, in the hope of killing monday morning commuters. The failed suicide bomber had strapped the home made device to his body with velcro, but he was the only person it seriously injured. Coming at such a busy time, in such a congested place, the intent appears to have been to cause mass casualties.
