Heading the program will be Kaveecia Moore, a third-generation Sarasota resident with a background in education and finance. Moore is a graduate of the University of Florida, and she received her master’s degree in business administration from Barry University in Miami.
She currently serves on the board of the Sarasota African American Cultural Coalition and the advisory board of the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe. She is a graduate of the 2021 Gulf Coast Board Institute.
“This is such an exciting opportunity to work with interns and connect them to our member businesses, as well as work with small and minority business owners who are just starting out,” Moore said. “It will be incredibly rewarding to see how we can move the needle in supporting, helping and watching them grow.”

Rod Hershberger, co-founder of PGT Innovations and chairman of the board of directors, was recently elected as an Architectural Products Council director on the Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance s board of directors. He will serve a two-year term.
Hershberger was also selected to a one-year term as the APC s second vice president. He began serving both terms this month.
The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance is an organization dedicated to improving home and building performance through better glass, window, door and skylight technology and standards. The board of directors is composed of officers and directors from the APC, Glass Products Council and Residential Products Council, as well as ex-officio board members.
