A bill to ensure the teaching and learning of Gujarati as one of the languages in all schools in Gujarat has been passed in the Assembly on Tuesday, failing which the school would be liable to pay penalty upto two lakh rupees and even cancellation of its affiliation.
The Gujarat Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed a bill which makes teaching the Gujarati language compulsory in all primary schools in the state, including those affiliated with CBSE, ICSE and IB boards.
